Notes
the notebook. engineering notes, project logs, and build logs from whatever i'm working on. mostly written for future me, but you're welcome to read over his shoulder.
- 2026.10.15 build log: iot smoke and gas sensor network — a fire detection network built from raw sensors up, with a radio mesh that keeps alerting when the building's network doesn't.
- 2026.08.18 build log: thinkpad x220 — one thinkpad, a raspberry pi, and a healthy fear of bricking. it worked first try, and now it runs arch.
- 2026.07.22 build log: fire egress sim — building an evacuation model from scratch, now with a floor that catches fire.
- 2026.07.11 build log: homelab — the server that takes my digital utilities off the rent, from a bare office desktop to a network i own the edge of.
- 2026.06.11 build log 001: this website — notes from building this site. constraints, choices, and regrets (none yet).
- 2025.12.07 build log: singing tesla coil — a speaker that plays music with electrical arcs. group project, my half was the hardware.
